I'm feeling mostly rested so it's time for me to kick up the mileage a little to get ready for a 50k at the end of the month. The plan is if I'm feeling good after the 50k, then I'm going to run the WSU 100k next month. I'd like to sneak under 10hrs on that course.
Winter is slowly melting away. Snowstorms are now few and far between. Lower elevations trails are mostly snow free (still another couple months until Moscow Mt. is snow-free). The days are getting longer too, which makes me very happy because my after-work runs are in daytime again. Goodbye headlamp until next winter.
Spring is almost here.

Keep running!

Looking forward to spring myself. Hope your plans goes, well, as planned :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jose.
DeleteYay for spring running!
ReplyDeleteHopefully you're getting some rest yourself, Mel. :)
DeleteNice! Our summer is slowly moving away. Dark and cooler mornings and the days are not as hot anymore.
ReplyDeleteSummer here lasts only a couple of weeks. Spring and Autumn sort of blend into each other, which is nice. :)
DeleteI love the longer daylight! It feels like spring in these parts but we always get a surprise storm or two.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we'll surely have some more surprise snowflakes, but they won't stick around too long.
Delete100 miles IS hard on the body! I was wondering how your recovery has been.
ReplyDeleteIt's been longer than I hoped, but better than what I was planning for, so I'm not complaining.
DeleteHey Scott, There's a new 50 mile and 50k run in Montana this June 22. TrailRail Run. Check out the site. http://trailrailrun.com/
DeleteThanks for the link, Mike. Looks like a lot of fun. I'm may be looking for something to do around that time, so this might be a great option. Are you running one of them?
DeleteMaybe....Depends on what day you ask me.
