The race begins at 10:00am Eastern. I'm in Wave 1/Corral 2, which means that I should begin shortly after 10:00am.
MY BOSTON GOALS
I'll be treating my first Boston as a tourist. I'm carrying my camera and will attempt to take a photo of every square inch of the course.
I won't let time, pace, weather, sore legs, or a tired Achilles play even the smallest part in how much I enjoy these 26.2 miles. Every step will be a reminder of how grateful I am that I have the ability and means to participate in this prestigious event.

I think that's a great race plan! That's how I'd run it too...have a great time and enjoy the experience, can't wait to hear all about it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on qualifying (& registering in time to actually get to go)Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWhen my husband ran last year, I was hoping the texts would let me know how he was doing. Unfortunately, the system did not work. Still a GREAt experience. The food in Boston is the best.
Good to know about the texts, Jenna. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteToo bad Scott missed out on the registration rush this year. :( But I'm sure he'll be back someday.
Definitely looking forward to the food. I love food. :)
I'll definitely be following. I hope all the technology works - seems like a cool way to keep track of the runners. Best of luck with the race. Looking forward to the pictures.
ReplyDeleteHave fun and enjoy all 26.2 miles! It will be interesting following your progress.
ReplyDelete...Mike
woo-hoo! u will rock it...like always!
ReplyDeleteRemember to smile, smile, smile! And have the best time of your life!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you. It's truly an amazing experience. Most of the course is not very scenic but the history of the race and the knowledgeable Bostonians make it excellent. (they ALL know that a marathon is 26.2 miles - wow)
ReplyDeleteHave fun and enjoy the moment.
I hope it goes well for you!!
ReplyDeleteI will be following you and some others! Will you be uploading pics and video as you go too?? :)
ReplyDeleteHolly - I haven't decided about whether I'll upload photos as I go or not. Depends on if I'm going to use my phone as my camera or my camera as my camera. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gonna be such an awesome trip! Megan and I will be the loudest cheerers there!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Technology is pretty awesome these days so that everyone can watch you (as a little dot) run through the streets of Boston. Very cool.
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletei have the same goals! but i have a feeling your taking it easy is a lot different than mine and you'll end up crushing it.
ReplyDeleteScott's idea of taking it easy is just running a 50k the day before the race. :P
ReplyDeleteHey dude... GOOD LUCK !!! Run like the wind and enjoy every minute of it.
ReplyDeleteTed
You are doing great! We're watching you from our breakfast table at the hotel. Five miles down...
ReplyDeleteHey Scott, Looks like you finished in reasonable time. Hope you had fun.
