Four miles tonight brought me to one thousand since I started tracking my mileage in April. I think that's pretty cool.
But just when I was beginning to think I was pretty hot shiznit I came across this story from ESPN.com. This guy has run a few miles, too. And I think he combs his chest hair. Awesome.
I wonder if anyone wants to try something like this for 2008. At least one mile a day for the entire calendar year. Hmmm....
Keep running!
My pal, Perry, at Just Your Average Joggler is on a joggling streak. I'm not sure how many days he is up to, but I'm pretty sure he is coming up on a year soon.
ReplyDeleteI've heard several stories of that nature, and I have to wonder if they're really brave and strong, or really stupid? But man, that is a nice fur coat he has going on!
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine had the same goal: to run everyday. He also ran the day after a surgery. I think that this is not a pleasure but a source of stress.
ReplyDeleteCongrats for the "first" 1,000!!!!
I agree that would cause stress and it wouldn't be fun anymore.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 1,000 miles. I hope there's 99,000 more to come.
ReplyDeleteGood job on the 1,000! That's really cool.
ReplyDeleteScott the Streaker? That brings all sorts of things to mind...
ReplyDeleteWHOOOOO HOOOOO on the 1,000 miles!! Here's to 10,000 more ;-)
ReplyDeleteI bet homeboy braids that hair too :P
I read this story the other day... don't temp me!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you on your first 1,000 miles! I wouldn't mind trying to see if I could run everyday in January... even if it's only a mile or 2 each day. I have gone almost 2 weeks with running as I speak... yuck.
ReplyDeleteHow about, run for at least a mile, write for at least 10 minutes. I think you're in good enough shape to handle it right now, but I might be setting myself up for a new year of exhaustion. I'm in Spokane. I'll call you guys soon! Can't wait to see you.
